Note to Stew - it doesn't seem like the xmms-cdread plugin is actually in the PPC/Mandrake distro - it might not be a bad idea to do that, since a good percentage of PPC/Mandrake users may be iMac owners!

There isn't a standard analog connection from the cdrom to the sound card
on the new macs. If you use xmms there is a plugin for doing cd audio
which should work.
