It is unnecessary.  The config file generated for XF4  doesn't include
DRI.  Adding it (as pointed out in an earlier post) corrects this and
it runs very smoothly on my system that doesn't like XF3.6 (something
to do with a BIOS disabled onboard graphics controller).
