just had to put my nonsensical 2 cents in.
/me waits for chmouel to chime in since he's been with this project as
kernel maintainer for much longer than even Juan.
/me also notes some significant changes in the 246pre's.
/me wonders why we seem to anticipate freeze all of the sudden. /me
remembers a cooker that truly was on the bleeding edge. /me thinks that
if there are to be 6 mos from one release to the next, cooker shouldn't
back off one bit until the 'freeze of death'. /me notes that when
notices of new versions (big new versions like from integer x to integer
x + 2 and possibly a beta next to it) are posted they are not always
given heed. /me also notes that one of the better examples of where we
used to stand on the bleeding edge is in the persistant updates to kde
so that, yes, it works so poorly it'll make a man switch to blackbox but
it is even said that 'this distribution [cooker] can and should NOT be
used for daily use whatsoever' so why treat it like it is?
/me is getting tired of typing /me.
/me also notes the strange reluctance of mdk employees (synonymous with
'people that are paid') to publicly upload the significant changes in
drakx that will (hopefully) be polished up nice and shiny for a super
duper 8.1 stability and 9.0 aheadofthetimesness.
/me wants everyone to calm down, breeeeeath. No need to get angry at
each other (not directed at you pixy face :P)
/me would indeed like to see some more "screw stability, we'll deal with
that later". After all, the cycles, the not often called by name these
days, were created for a reason.
/me wants to see some more packages justifiably labled
(n).(n).(n)beta(n)-(n)mdk.
/me does not mean 2.2.2beta2-2mdk for those of you hairsplitters.
/me dose not mind being very offtopic and pointless.
/me agrees to see some new kernel like (was it guran?) if still
objecting to the manner presented.
/me remembers a flame war between him (/me) and someone else about how
bloody an edge cooker should be.
/me wonders why he is writing so much and meaning so little.
/me out.
