I've never had any problem with it. It takes a bit longer for the pot to
warm up, and be careful not to burn yourself on it, but it's always fine for
me.
That said, upon losing my sight I instituted a rule -- slow down and plan
before doing anything. It's kept me sane.

maybe that's my problem.  I always try to use a frying pan, but I find them
a bit too shallow.  So there's no problem with cooking it in something a
little bigger?
