Hi Nancy, According to the instruction booklet that comes with Crockpots and other slow-cookers, frozen meat should not be cooked in such equipment. The slow-cookers take too long to build heat, and the bacteria multiply in that condition and does not get cooked away as they would in an oven or stove-top cooking. The instruction manuals say to always thaw meat before putting it into a Crockpot.
