I substituted a pound of ground beef, a package of sloppy Joe seasoning, a
can of tomato paste, and a can of mushroom stems and pieces. Parmesan was
mandatory on this "sloppy casserole" too, and I've made it many times since
then. (It was a pasta shell night that time, and I've found this recipe
works better with the shells)
