Jude, that's not odd, it's sheer genius!!!

Those are binder clips, btw. I use them for clipping parchment paper
to the pan so it doesn't move around while I'm trying to put said item
into the pan e.g., cookies, brownie batter, etc. Moistening the pan
and putting the parchment paper down still gives it room to wiggle,
but the clip method holds it in place nicely. Remove clips after
filling pan.
