Let's talk voltage regulators. Has anyone installed one of the solid state generator controllers? If so I'd sure like to hear of your opinion.
I think Chief Aircraft says theirs needs a 337. Some one else advertised them with no 337 mention. I have a 35 amp generator and while it keeps my battery charged, I'd like to have a little more aggressive charge rate then I show. I haven't checked part numbers, but I could have a regulator calibrated for lower capacity generator. I'd add a 100 watt landing light if I was sure my night time charge rate would keep up with it. I would think the solid state unit would be the answer.
