During the annual before last, the IA said that my `coupe should be
placarded with the fuel grade in the Pilots Operating Handbook. My POH
says 73 minimum octain. The IA has the opinion that the STC-by-mail for
auto gas is a scam, as it is perfectly legal so long as it meets the
above requirement.
In the Pacific NW there is 80-87. I burn that and avoid the 100LL.
