I operate a 415C with a C85 that I have owned since 1973. The oil
temperature has always been higher than I would like in the summer
months in that on a 75 degree day I get a temperature in the 190 range
and resultant drop in oil pressure to about 30 psi. Even after overhaul
nothing changed. The baffles and seals are all in place and tight. The
pressure relief valve and spring checks OK. I am presently checking the
gauge calibration. My question is whether or not the use of oil coolers
on Coupes is common. I don't have one but am contemplating sourcing a
cooler and adapter with integral bypass valve. Any comments anyone has
in regard to my query and possible source for a complete cooler assembly
would be appreciated. I live in Toronto, Canada and depend on U.S. info
to keep em flying.
Thank you
Bill
