I cannot tell from you description what you have but a couple of ways to 
find out:

1) Look at another coupe with the baffles

2) Check the parts catalog (Univair 4-00001J) page 22.  Parts 13, 14 and 
15 are the C-85 baffles.

3) Basically is there is a curved aluminum baffle shaped like the oil 
tank and about 1/2 inch away from it on the front side of the tank 
connected to the air scoop on the front cowel - that is the baffle.  If 
you have the baffle it will be hard to put your hand on the front (the 
propeller side) of the kidney shaped oil tank.

Also I agree with Greg.  If your oil temp stabilizes at less than red 
line on very hot days that is good.  My problem was the temperature 
continued to climb until it was on the red line.  The baffles and oil 
filter fixed it but now it is work to get the oil hot enought to 
evaporate condensed moisture.

One other thing to keep in mind.  It may be worth checking your oil temp 
sender/guage before spending lots of money on other things.  The sneder 
guages in airplanes are not precision instruments and may be out of 
calibration.
