Hi Bob,
What I meant by a seep was I haven't been able to find any leaking fuel,
but
there must be some somewhere or I wouldn't smell it all the time. I am
guessing that the leak is so slight it just evaporates without actually
dripping. It is just a guess, though. I haven't been able to fully
investigate all the possible places there could be a leak. I do agree
with
you, there has to be fuel escaping the lines or tanks in order for the
smell
to persist.
I now have a new problem, the starter is not working properly. I thought
I
might have killed my battery but a slow charge and load test proved the
battery to be good. When I pull the starter cable the starter sounds like
it
is free-wheeling for a few seconds and then will begin to turn the engine
very slowly. I tried adjusting the bolt on the linkage where it contacts
the
button on the starter and it helped a little but it still sounds like the
starter is dragging. Any suggestions?
