Mel, In four years I spend enough on my hanger to buy another Ercoupe. The problem I see with not carrying haul Insurance is, What if you bend your Ercoupe in the first few years. Then you lost all. Using your plan that would mean I would lose $24,000. Being that I only saved $1,000. in insurance payment. Plus my credit union would be after me to finish paying them the balance I owe. No thanks, I'll take the hit and pay up.
