Dennis; Look at having the insurance for your Skyhawk and the Ercoupe combined. I have my Bonanza insured with AIG for just over $!,100. When I added my Ercoupe to the policy, they only charged me 1/2 the premium due to it being the second aircraft. (about $360 for 1 million liabilty and 20k hull) My number may be off just a little without looking it up, but I believe the check was for just over $1500 for both. My experience with AOPA has been good, but they always seem to charge about 30 % more than that available from other reputable carriers. They quote me
almost $1700 for my Bonanza alone.
