The insurance game is a bit hard to figure out. Other pilots have quoted higher and lower premium costs for the same,or basically the same, aircraft with very similar coverage. Maybe its PIC time in that particular aircraft, or amount of PIC time overall. The same mysterious principles apply to all insurance coverage; e.g., auto, home, life, etc., as far as I can tell. For example, the plane has a million dollars coverage, limited to $100,000 per seat with respect to passengers. So I don't have enough insurance to adequately protect my self from an injured passenger. A passenger could sustain more than $100,000 in damages just slipping off the wing. Additional coverage, if it is available, is probably very expensive. Maybe posting on a single spreadsheet the insurance cost for all Ercoupe, Alon, Forney, and M10 aircraft would lead to a discount across the board (or an increase), but I think the individual companies prefer to charge what the market will bear on any given day.
Ken Doyle I have wanted to put together a check list for Coupe insurance coverage and then get several bids. But I understand that once you get a bid from one company the others will not give a bid. __________________________________________________________________________ ______ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _____________________________________________________________ Want to find the best email lists?
