Larry,

I assign you the task of re-reading my story about Lee and his T-6.  He
is way, way older than you or Bob and he's not even close to retiring from
flying. Age is not a number.  I can't comment on you because I don't know
you well enough,  but Bob can outwork, outhike, and outthink most folks
half his age. Not only that, he makes it look easy!  

While I'm at it, I'll insert my soapbox statement for the day.  I think
it is ridiculous to force airline pilots to retire at 60.  Their
"airworthiness" should be based on many factors of which we're all aware.
One of those factors is NOT what the pilot's birth certificate says.

I understand that AOPA is fighting this, so maybe the rule will be
changed.
