Jeff, thanks for the suggestion. I checked mailq. All 4 messages are messages to the sanghas list that have most, but not all, of their deliveries fulfilled (most successfully, a few failures). The unfulfilled recipients appear to be the same on each of the 4 messages, suggesting some issue with their email accounts. I don't think this is relevant to dot-courier delivery problem, but at this point I'm thankful for all suggestions.
