In aliases/system, there are: root: postmaster mailer-daemon: postmaster MAILER-DAEMON: postmaster uucp: postmaster postmaster: rpfeiffer [email protected]: [email protected] rpfeiffer: [email protected] I do not know if the last two lines are necessary. >> In fact, I did not edit any file in userdb. And run makeuserdb, of course. I just added the balfolk-user via userdb -f, voilĂ , my mailinglist works. Thanks a lot for your help! I did not yet define a password for balfolk in userdb, should I do it? What could be happening with and without it? I'm not quite sure if I understood the explanatory part. When I want to set up a new mailinglist, would it be possible to use the same user account, balfolk, just by passing another home directory in the userdb -f command? Or do I have to set up a new user account that also has an entry in /etc/passwd? Did I unterstand right: with the above written alias rules, a recipient [email protected] would be replaced by [email protected]. Given a rule like "root: postmaster, rpfeiffer" a mail to [email protected] would result in a mail to [email protected] and [email protected], respectively? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ courier-users mailing list [email protected] Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
