In aliases/system, there are:

root: postmaster
mailer-daemon: postmaster
MAILER-DAEMON: postmaster
uucp: postmaster
postmaster: rpfeiffer
[email protected]: [email protected]
rpfeiffer: [email protected]

I do not know if the last two lines are necessary.

I just added the balfolk-user via userdb -f, voilĂ , my mailinglist works.
Thanks a lot for your help! I did not yet define a password for balfolk in
userdb, should I do it? What could be happening with and without it?

I'm not quite sure if I understood the explanatory part.
When I want to set up a new mailinglist, would it be possible to use the
same user account, balfolk, just by passing another home directory in the
userdb -f command? Or do I have to set up a new user account that also has
an entry in /etc/passwd?

Did I unterstand right: with the above written alias rules, a recipient
[email protected] would be replaced by [email protected]. Given a
rule like "root: postmaster, rpfeiffer" a mail to [email protected] would
result in a mail to [email protected] and [email protected],
respectively?
