Here's some background on our most recent redesign, which has worked VERY well for us.
http://dangerouslyawesome.com/2012/12/our-new-website-for-indy-hall-by-indy-hall/ The biggest things that I see people miss over and over and over is this: if you have more photos empty desks and rooms than you do of people interacting, how does that match with your description of being a "collaborative" place to work? (Hint: not very well.) Get lots of photos of your members, and better yet, photos of them interacting. Another thing we recently added is a /purpose page, and an FAQ. The purpose page is part of the slashpurpose.org movement, with the objective to describe why we exist. It's easy to list off the stuff people can pay for, but your purpose can be a valuable differentiator...so long as you work hard to live up to it. We went a step further and said how we go about living up to our purpose, hoping that others may keep us accountable as well. The FAQ is *hopefully* to curb repeat questions that we often answer over email, also knowing that for every person who emails there are 10+ who don't bother. That's new as well, so a bit early to say how effective it is. -Alex -- /ah indyhall.org On Tue, Jun 18, 2013 at 9:36 AM, Moha Alsouli <[email protected]> wrote: > Heya, congrats on expanding the good :)) > I would say the most important 3 are: > 1. the location of the space > 2. what it offers > 3. few photos > oh, and if you have a great deal with events then: > 4. calender or list of upcoming events > and, make sure to have any updates in regard to the space (like > renovatings, closing days, etc..) on the home page or the news page.. > wait, that's 5 already I guess :) > Cheers, > Moha Alsouli > The Work Hub > On Sunday, 16 June 2013 11:49:30 UTC+3, Piotr Grabowski wrote: >> >> Hey Everyone, >> >> We are renovating and extending our coworking space, thus we decided to >> redesign our website - making it clearer and simply get rid of unnecessary >> information.
