Actually, I was referring to a married couple. Since Yardeni is obvious
married in this case I thought would have lots to do with children and house
and dog all hypothetically once they got home. The husband I suppose could
sneak out once dinner was over and pleading something go down to 23rd and
Jefferson to find something to purchase. One envisions a wife so beaten
down by a day at work and then all the extra work, while the husband sits
and watches the game or something, all she must do to prepare a meal, plus
read about the children's day at school and take the dog for a walk that she
knows her husband is going to purchase "entertainment," but doesn't really
care. The emotional energy cost here is miniscule!

I think we are on to something here Mark. LOL. Male patriarchy and
economics are intertwined - who knew?

Net energy gain from no sex, surely?
Is there not some anecdotal and statistical evidence that many young men
have worked all this out and know that it's cheaper to live at home with Mom
& Dad and buy fast food and fast sex when they need it? That's a solution
isn't it, altho another manifestation of looming dieoff in the advanced
states?
BTW, Yardeni is chief economist at Deutsche Bank and is not so far as I
know, subbed to this list.
