Aren't you talking about Zot Defense rather than DDs?

Uhm, you repeat that over and over... but I know of no such plans. The only
such attempt so far has been a resounding failure.

Of course, this scheme is indeed artificial, but to speak about plans, we
would first need one that has a chance of working.

And with skills as diverse as weapon, dodging, T&D, tmut which not only have
different rates of exercise but also different timings for various uses,
it's certainly not an easy task.

For example, both spamming Evaporate and using a transformation before a
fight works just as well -- even though the first means multiple casts
which will quickly drain the pool and so subsequent casts won't train as
much -- and the second means rare exercises but all with a full pool.

You can't replace this with a simple exercise counter, and trying to assign
various actions different "exercise counts" is not really going to work
either -- plus, being a nightmare to maintain.

In other words: the XP pool is not likely to be removed anytime soon.
