Do you mean that you've heard that you can't use Diet Coke (or any diet soda) to clean terminals? Any carbonated beverage will work because of the carbonate used to make it "fizzy." Diet Vanilla Coke cleaned the terminals on our quite well - just make sure you have a hose handy and that you wash all of that corrosive junk off of the frame/engine immediately!
