This morning 3 of my Idle servers re-established their lobby reservation
after being on session error for almost 10 hours. Not a single one of them
emptied out nor were restarted. They never went below a double digit player
threshold. What a f'n miracle, huh? You can stop being Valve's sacred
defenders. There is clearly a solution to this, they are just avoiding it
because they are greedy. They have a strong hold on the community servers
now with their Operations and Missions, they no longer need us community
owners to support the casual community as we did from CS beta right until
Operation Payback. Their community servers were almost completely unused
until then. Ever since Operation Payback came out, you can no longer find
more than 500 servers on the server browser, most of which are Valve and
ESEA servers. Before that, I could find thousands. They are nonchalantly
destroying public communities. Say what you will, but those of us who still
have popular communities can be nothing but thankful for the loyalty of our
players, but many communities aren't as lucky. You can all keep flaming me
about my approach to this topic but my community is fed up and this topic
wasn't made to get the personal opinion's of people who literally CANNOT
help. There isn't a thing any of you can do, there isn't anything I can do.
But I can let the extent of my communities anger be known, regardless of
what you think. Have a splendid friggin day.
