The ALA Office of Information Technology Policy (ALA-OITP)
<http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/> crew has been working overtime on
producing informative webinars <http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/?p=3361>
, compiling lots of resources on the Know Your Stimulus
<http://www.ala.org/ala/issuesadvocacy/advocacy/knowstimulus/index.cfm>
website, and now have released another paper, "Public Computer Center Funding
Category and Library Proposals"
<http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/PCC-July29-PublicRelease.pdf>
  (PDF file, 142K in size), that provides guidance for libraries that are
considering or planning to apply in the first round of stimulus funding in the
Public Computer Center category of the BTOP program. As they describe it, the
paper "collects relevant text about the PCC funding category from several
National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) documents and
provides some library specific examples to stimulate the thinking process for
applicants from the library community."

If your library is weighing whether to apply for funds, take a look at this
paper while you register for the August 5th webinar titled "Nuts and Bolts -
Application Assistance Webinar"
<http://www.wo.ala.org/districtdispatch/?p=3382> . Read the description and
register for the webinar at the OITP site by following the link
