Yes. Remembering that mother Nut was sky and father Geb was earth, their
children mirrored the gender distinctions somewhat. Osiris, like his father,
was AT FIRST an EARTH God -- he was often pictured as green, with vegetation
sprouting from his body,
for example. Often the fertile Bull was identified with him. The
cow-goddess HATHOR ("Het," house or domain + "Hor," Horus) was identified
with the sky-goddess Nut, the mother of the ELDER Horus, brother of Set and
Osiris, who is hard to distinguish from the YOUNGER Horus, son of Isis. Thus
Isis = Hathor = Nut, in Egyptian reasoning.
Now, there is a peculiarity here. Osiris was the EARTH God in succession to
his father Geb (usually portrayed as a naked ithyphallic man, reclining on
his back, with the Sky Goddess bending down from heaven to receive him) and
his brother Set was, in the Pyramid Texts age, a SKY God, being son of the
Sky GODDESS by MATRILINEAL
succession, as well as brother (in sibling rivalry) to the ELDER Horus,
falcon-headed
Sky GOD -- hence the duality of Set and Horus, just as old as that of Set and
Osiris.
The old stelae portray Set and Horus DIVIDING the earth, North and South,
BETWEEN
them -- a theme as common as their cyclic alternation IN TIME as rulers of
Egypt, in perfect mimickry of Yin and Yang in the I Ching. Horus as Sky God,
deposing Set, is older than Sun God Ra, a relative LATECOMER in Egyptian
religion, as you point out (lion-goddess Sekhmet does appear to be older as
Sun GODDESS, her iconography shared with Tefnut, the mother of Nut). But
here we have to make a distinction: Horus was god of the solar (day) sky,
going from horizon to horizon, but to the Egyptians that was different from
the stellar (night) sky, Nut's realm, full of star-gods and concentrated
around the North Polar region, over which Nut and her son Set ruled (in the
star-maps).
Horus as day-Sky versus Set as night-sky -- gods, but sons of the Sky GODDESS.

I think the disagreement with you is based on confusing what the Egyptians
believed
(amply recorded in both their texts and drawings and sculptures) and what
relatively
modern "illuminati" CLAIM they believed, attempting to subsume Egyptian
religion under
the themes found in Indo-European as well as SOME Near Eastern religions,
just in order to make everything "come out right" as "universal." The
archeological evidence makes clear the fact that even in the Near East, even
in ancient Sumer, the "gender of cosmology" was in fact OPPOSITE to what we
have in later, more "patriarchal" times.
For example, in both Egypt and Sumer, the moon is MALE, and in various places
in Mesopotamia the sun is female (the female Shapash instead of the male
Shamash),
and Venus' and Mars' genders are usually reversed -- Dumuzi/Tammuz is the MALE
fertility god and Inanna/Ishtar is the GODDESS of war and sexual frenzy, not
at all a "love" goddess! The male is portrayed as a bull, the female as a
scorpion, mirroring
the forms of the signs Taurus and Scorpio. (Athena for the Greeks was
goddess of WAR earlier than Ares, note, and Dionysus was a sensuous FERTILITY
god of sorts.)
Of course, along with the (to us) "gender reversal" of social roles, the MOST
ancient
layer of culture in both Egypt and Sumer was "matriarchal," which to an
anthropologist
means MATRILINEAL. In Egypt, the pharaoh inherited his office through the
Queen Mother (see the Heb-Sed ritual, where he dances around a veiled goddess
on a throne)
and in Sumer, the lugal (priest-king) assumed office after "wedding" the
Goddess in the
form of the High Priestess. Come the Age of Aries, these Taurean concepts
fell into disfavor with the patriarchal warlords, who "masculinized" ALL
divinity, as in Greece,
leaving female deities to govern only the element most DESPISED by them --
"earth."
