Started there. No joy. Still no jabber. Only "solution" is to boot up Ubuntu 8.10 in a virtual box every time I want to use Pidgin. Not ideal. Can't find anything else about it online. Very annoying. Maybe my Google search skills suck, but I can't seem to find anything on what this bug is (found something similar from back in August which they claim is fixed), or how to fix it.
