I have to set "2019, Jean-Luc C." in the "Author" field of the import menu, so every photo I import gets tagged accordingly. And I have to modify this field each year. It would be easier if, for instance, I could replace the year value with $(Exif_Year), or some other exif value. > > > Of course, if it was possible to use variables within the metadata fields, > > so one could write, for instance "Copyright $Year_Taken", and the field > > would be filled with the appropriate value, things would be far easier. > > Unfortunately, my request still remains at the same point. > > all my files contain copyright $year and the moved files maintained that. Er... you mean, that you typed "$Year" into the field, in the import menu options, and it automatically retrieves the correct value from the exifs at import each time a photo gets imported ? So, if you import a photo you took in 2015, it will automatically write "2015" into the correct metadata field ? If so, the request I filed 2 years ago ought have been closed : https://www.darktable.org/redmine/issues/11445#change-35440 > > > So, the second way would be to replace the paths directly within the DB > > which - I confess - I can't do. > > >From sqlitebrowser, I could open the DB and find where the paths appear, > > >but I couldn't find anything looking like a find & replace tool. > > Maybe someone there could give me some hint ? > Regards, J.-Luc ____________________________________________________________________________ darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to [email protected]
