using whatever filemanager you desire, move files from flash-card/camera
to physical storage (local hard drive, stick, ...), then do the following:
exiv2 \-k \-r %y%m%d_%H%M%S_:basename: \.\/*.{nef,jpg}
substitute for "nef", "jpg", what you need.
results in following:
200119_112402_aaa_4606.nef
200110 2020, January 10
112402 11:24.02 AM
aaa_4606.nef original file name from camera
and during this I trans to lower case
work on entire current directory for files with nef or jpg extension
alter to do otherwise.
no need for another app
indeed this is a very clean and basic solution. Will put this to my
"fall-back-arsenal" ...
But:
I do _not_ reformat my memory cards after every shooting for several
reasons.
RPD just raises the comfort level as it shows you all photos previously
imported greyed out, gives you a timeline and so on.
As I said => comfort level, and for some this saves a lot of time.
