I'm supposed to ... but I've been unable to recalibrate my screens for a
couple of months; something seems to be 'broken' in my Gnome color
management, and I need to upgrade from Fedora 17 to 19 to solve the
problem. Unfortunately, I had more urgent things to do in the past weeks.
:-(
You might have a point here... Is there a way to tell if Darktable use a
system profile, and which it is?

Not to my knowledge.

The lack of, or a wrong profile might indeed explain the problem I
encounter. I'll give the OS upgrade + recalibration a higher priority, and
will come back afterwards to tell if is has fixed the issue.
