IMHO the main focus of dt should be operations that can get more
information out of the RAW. I think adjusting luminosity/contrast is
one of these. GIMP is better for stuff like retouching etc. where you
don't want to get extra information out of the RAW.

Besides, do you expect a release of gimp 2.10 anytime soon?
