I suspect there would be issues related to the fact that the parameters would be seeing a different set of image data depending on where in the chain the module was, not to mention any settings on the "ouput" slider being meaningful only with the module they were adjusted for... as well as the fact that there are two different color spaces that any given module might work in, each with slightly different parameters.
