Where did you get that idea? The store doesn't mention any upgrade requirements, and the FAQ says this: "Can I upgrade from BDS 2006 to Delphi 2007 for Win32? "Yes, you can upgrade to Delphi 2007 for Win32 from Delphi 1 through Delphi 8, BDS 2005, and BDS 2006." > and I am a bit worried about it being able to > create for WIN98 since I have 55 systems out there in the field still > earning income but needing periodic upgrades to stay ahead of the > competition. The 100 or so WINXP versions aren't an issue. Nick Hodges' blog post from February 21 says this: "Delphi 2007 for Win32 supports deploying to Win98 for the most part. There may be some incompatiblities."(sic) http://blogs.codegear.com/nickhodges/archive/2007/02/21/32080.aspx > Hopefully they will also still support ActiveX. Why did you order this product? You're clearly not very confident about what you're going to get. You need Windows 98 support and ActiveX, or the product isn't worth anything to you, right? What's so urgent about the new version that you're willing to pay money for it without ever seeing it work? The product hasn't been released. Based on the blogs I read, CodeGear isn't even finished working on it yet. There can't be any demo version because the real version isn't even ready. There have been trial editions of all the past versions, haven't there? Couldn't you wait until the trial version of Delphi 2007 for Win32 is available, try it out, and then decide to buy it?
