Hmm - if Vista can go from nowhere to nearly 5% in just 5 months it will
be 20% of the market in no time at all. So I don't think I can leave my
head in the sand and ignore my 3 month old copy of Vista any longer,
especially since I just got my first user problem reported.
Does anyone know if Delphi 5 will successfully install and run under
Vista? So far I haven't paid for an upgrade as D5 does everything I
need (well, so far!)
The problem my user has relates to using the MAPI with Windows Mail - he
gets a "general MAPI error" return code. Guess I will just have to
install Vista and try and recreate the problem.
Regards,
Brendan Blake.

Operating System Market Share for June, 2007:
http://marketshare.hitslink.com/report.aspx?qprid=2
82% are Windows XP users.
____________
I started to download some documentation about Vista but now, after I
saw the satistics, I think I won't bother to make my application Vista
ready!
Cosmin was right again. Better to program a cool feature for the 82% of
the users than to waist time for (4.5%) Vista users.
Until the number will go to 20% there is nothing to worry about.
