Brendan,

My own experience is that applications written by Delphi 5 work
"satisfactorily" on Vista. At the moment, I have no intention of moving
my production environment to Vista, so I use a VMware virtual machine for
testing. It's not ideal, nor even particularly convenient, but "good
enough" for now.

I did also buy Delphi 2007 (my first upgrade since Delphi 5), and would
expect to gradually migrate over the coming years, with the hope that
Delphi 2007 will work correctly on Vista when I need it.
