Do you get these errors, if you compile from the command line?

If you are using Delphi on WinXP have you tried running it in Win2000 compatibility mode?

Subject: [DUG] Linker Errors on large projects

We are using Delphi 6 and have a few large projects that we constantly get linker errors on.

Sometimes things will work fine, even for days at a time, but often the linking stage will either:
  • fail with "Out of memory while expanding stream"
  • fail with rlink32 error XXXX.
  • fail with an access violation in rlink32.
  • freeze and us 100% cpu.
Sometimes a rebuild will work correctly, and sometimes we have to go through all sorts of rituals like restarting Delphi or the computer, building another more simple project etc etc.

I have seen a few posts with this same problem but no resolutions.

Any ideas on what we could do about it?

Stacey
