* unit tests are non existent for many components
* unit tests when present have poor coverage
* unit tests when present and with good coverage are not run (and thus "released" code fails to pass them)
* when changes are made the required work of making changes is rarely done (involves updating all avalon users of change, gump, build system and docs).
* licenses on 90% of files is invalid
Oh I am sure that you can say "you are working on it" but I have heard that story for years now and nothing has changed.
There is a continous sense of "my code vs. your code" in your posts.
Peter, you decided to remain here so you are part of this community and therefore the screwed code is *yours* as much as *mine* as much as anybody else's around here.
It's *our* code.
If there is something wrong, either make friendly suggestions, or get your hands dirty and fix it yourself.
This is a meritocracy and a do-ocracy, not a FUD-ocracy. Otherwise, you would be president of the foundation by now.
You are just fixing what you feel is *yours* and complain about the fact that *their* code is polluting the beauty of the Avalon project thus reflecting poorly on *your* stuff.
In my book, this is called acting like a primadonna by abusing the stage.
The only thing that hasn't changed in Avalon is your attitude.
Too bad we can't have gump runs to show *evidence* of attitude changes for people.
Luckily, we *do* have gump runs for showing evidence of trends in code and *they* prove you wrong.
So, use that brain and stop that stupid fud, it's just hurting you and the results is that when you have interesting and valuable comments, they are lost in the low signal/noise ration of your regular posts, resulting in more frustration on all sides.
And stop being so defensive: I'm trying *hard* to help you getting back the respect you deserve. Please, help me (and yourself) back.
If not, I won't be suggesting you to leave anymore, I'll be the one to leave because I'm getting sick of all this negative energy around here and things are moving in the right direction and I trust Berin enough to leave and be peaceful with it.
