Yes, I'm afraid I should have wrote it here yet, I've just translated this page into French: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/FR/Documentation/Dashboard/Wiki_Editing_Policy

I missed the French link on the left of the Wiki :-)

Ok, we'll need to create some. But however, is there anywhere a list of "international" categories we could all use, thus share (those of the MainIndex category ?), or not at all... (two exceptions: FR cat.(egory) appears in NLC cat. and FR/Documentation cat. in Documentation cat.) All specifics FR cat., include FR/Documentation, are sub-categories of FR cat.) - Please / thank you to correct me if I'm wrong...

As far as I am aware, there is no standardized list of Categories that must be used on a Wiki page.
If you look here:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Special:Categories
you can see that there are a lot of categories that have been defined. Some are in use, others are empty ( http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Special:UnusedCategories )

I never thought about robots with categories.

This is only really relevant if any maintenance needs to be done on groups of pages. The WikiBot can use a Category to download all the pages it needs to work on. This really simplifies the maintenance (eg replacing common text across many pages). If there is no category defined, then whoever (an admin) is using the WikiBot must manually compile the list of pages.

One last question however : About naming categories :

With our Documentation category for example, what is the best choice :
[[Category:FR/Documentation]] - or - [[Category:Documentation/FR]] ?
1. I think the first is the better - for French peoples - it will give us an easier overview, and seems more logical, too... 2. But the second is perhaps more practical for administrators of the wiki... In the first case, we'll have [[Category:FR/Documentation/FAQ/Writer]], and so on...
Second case, that become [[Category:Documentation/FR/FAQ/Writer]], etc.

From an admin standpoint, the category name does not matter so much as long as it is known. Having FR/Documentation or Documentation/FR does not matter so much from a technical point of view.

I agree with you that the FR/Documentation is more logical since it also reflects the sub-page structure you are using on the French part of the Wiki. If I was to choose, I would go with the FR/Documentation category structure.
