I would agree. OOo provides the Java installer, plus the deb and rpm packages for Linux. This is what we should document. If we try to cover all possible scenarios with Linux... we could be here for years :-)
I have now added these additional operativ systems as technotes. They are incomplete, a little strange sometimes, but might provide some help to some users. Everybody are welcome to improve, but they don't quite fit into the documentation.
