Burmese is present in lang.h and isolang.cxx, but not in langtab.src.
I will prepare a patch, but... can anybody tell me how to say "burmese" in German?
We also need to check the Burmese Unicode block. New characters have been added to Burmese lately (some encodings have been changed) and they might not be in the block originally defined in OOo for the script.
There is no support for Burmese in ICU yet. I started working on it some time ago, but we stopped, waiting for the final encoding to be defined by Unicode. Windows XP does not officially support Burmese, but there are some fonts that use some tricks of OpenType to make it work.
Moe, Soe, what we do need is a locale file for Burmese. I remember that Ngwe Tun (in cc) had worked on a locale file for CLDR, so it should not be difficult to do. Please see information about locale files in
http://www.it46.se/localegen/ (I do not know if it will support Burmese script) If this does not work for you, please look into: www.khmeros.info/tools Please look into http://www.khmeros.info/tools/localization_of_openoffice_2.0.html for other things that you will need. I will be happy to prepare the patches once you gather the information. Moe Soe, what is your www.openoffice.org identifier? Regards, Javier Moe Soe wrote:
