ok but my point is, to have two duplicate packages, the pkgdesc should not be
identical - but that difference is not worth mentioning in the pkgdesc; because
it is not relevant to the binary package, nor any user's decision of which
package to install

ok, so can we describe those notable differences in a very few words?

if so, what would those words be?

is say, "stable version" meaningful enough to influence a user's decision?

would we also need to re-package 'flashrom' to change its pkgdesc?
