Thinking about it, one basic thing I find surprising about the marketing
project is that the main resource is the volunteers yet there is no
knowledge of what skills are available other than what comes up in

individuals to do specific tasks. Ok, they might choose to say no but I
would think its far more likely more would get done. People often don't

first thing I want to know is what the human resource is, where are the
deficiencies in skills and knowledge and how can that be put right. Its
important also to match tasks to what people can realistically achieve
so in the case of the MP I'd say try and break things down into finite
chunks so no individual has too much to do. Eat the elephant a bite a
time. The snag is that if the mountain seems too high to climb no-one
even sets out to try.

I agree! Totally!, But when I popped the question on skills on the list earlier, I got one answer... So it seems to me that trying to get something started and getting someone to give you information on their skills is much more work then doing it yourselve... (that remark came up somewhere, but put in other words...) My first posts included my skills and I thought someone would be watching out to see if any match necessities :) so I started investigating to find out what the problems are...
By know I am sure everyone thinks along about the same line here...

-This or that needs guidance, a push, help, or something else... the coordination came up a lot... where is this? where can I find that... and new people always ask the same questions :)

Dear fellow posters, readers, lurkers ands doers :) I proposed to help on several issues and posted questions in follow up to get the necessary information... Seems that there is a lack of information or where to find it. As I have some time, I can do some things myselve, but since I posted my qualities, why not use them? "torture me in the most painfull way, do not try torturing me to death by boring me with things I that only take up time.... ", someone once said to me, meaning that you should tempt every one's skills with the most ambitious thing you can find for his/hers specific skill... Well go for it...

Still want to do the job, but by now I have dedcided I can only do it if I have spoken to ALL the people who control what happens with OOo, and by that I mean the very controlers, managers or whatever they may be called of all major parts, projects.. This is to know if they have a clear vision and if not, what are they looking for... what are they dreaming of... Knowing that will give me a clue on what needs to be done first, in order to set up a coordinated marketing guidance for all actives in marketing, art, local marketing etc....
