If french or german or <other any other language that is handled sun-internal> native-lang-project wants to have a string changed, this has to be done (and therefore approved) by Sun. And "sun internal" may be misleading. AFAIK Sun pays for the translation for those languages (maybe its only the OnlineHelp that Sun pays for to be translated - don't know exaclty). German-lang project was involved in the naming-process for the AutoPilot. German language is special in another aspect: It is part of the main sources, not of the translation-files. English and German UI strings are set directly by developers (not translators).
