There is an existing Aspell dictionary for Vietnamese. I use that

If you are asking whether that dictionary can be included in
OpenOffice.org official builds, the official answer is "nobody knows"
and the problem is licensing: that dictionary is distributed under the
GPL 2 license.

You'd better subscribe

and hope. Further comments are useless as Sun will obviously listen to
their lawyers only.

Thanks for the information. I suppose my overall question is, "Can we use this dictionary with OpenOffice.org?"

If so, we can host it for separate download, while waiting for the language issue to be resolved.

I have subbed to that issue, and voted for it.
