They are not chica specific. That is why I would like you to create a 0.5.x branch.

You cannot commit to a tag, so cannot back port maintenance releases.
  A 0.5.x branch would allow for back porting of patches from trunk and
tagging of 0.5.1, 0.5.2, etc.
