It seems this has become a sticking point while in my mind it was one of
the minor issues. I see the sheriff's role as primarily making sure that
issues get noticed. When you send an email to someone saying their
checkin broke the build for example, I don't think anyone will actually
ignore that on purpose, and I think most people would be happy to know
about it sooner rather than later.

It would be useful to get pointers to specific tasks/sentences on the
wiki page that feel too much like rules enforcement.

If sheriff as a word feels bad, we could replace that with something else.

I am open to other times, but it seems too much to ask to spend more
than a day at a time in my opinion.
