Much more interesting is the integration of the fixes into 2.0
sources. Here we have to take a look and see if Patricks patches,
ported to 2.0, are of any help for 2.0 and prevent double work. Here
we should take a closer look. But this isn't easy and here any help
is welcomed. Here you could do code comparison.
I agree. We should be focusing on the current build and not a
backport release that may or may not happen.
I'd like to remind the happy porting crowd that there is no 1.1.4 for
OSX/X11 on the official download page.
Most of the places I know that propose OSX/X11 work with 1.1.2.
I understand that 2.0 _is_ the next step from porting perspective, but
from the user side, we'd rather have OOo go one step at a time :)
Unless there are technical reasons _not_ to propose a 1.1.4 for
OSX/X11, in which case that should be documented on the download page,
I suggest that some time is taken to make a 1.1.4 working build for
OSX/X11.
That is one of the things that I am working on. I can build OOo 1.9
m110 and am downloading OOo 1.9 M112 to build with Maho's scripts and
patches, which I retrieved from good-day.net.
My attempts to build 1.1.4 end with idlc erroring out when I try to
build udkapi.
