The automatic font conversion that OOo 2.0 RC3 does in its launcher
script is a TERRIBLE idea. Please make this optional, and NOT the
default. Stuffing unwanted and poorly converted fonts into the OOo
truetype folder would be worthy of the arrogance of Microsoft
installers.
I mirror Mac OOo & NeoOffice inside Sun, and had to remove the two
calls to fondu in the RC3 launcher applescript. Sun employees need to
use the same fonts as other Star Office users, so automatically
converting of Mac fonts into the OOo truetype fonts folder is
intrusive and unwanted.
Such unexpected behind the scenes conversions should ONLY be done
with the user's permission!
