Kevin Hendricks' installer for OOo 1.1.2 put the OOo user directory into ~/Library/Application Support, so unless something drastic has happened between OOo 1.1.2 and 2.0, I presume it is still possible to do.

+1 for using ~/Library/Application Support if it is not too much work. Otherwise, let's just leave it where it is and let the few developers we have work on more important stuff.
