Hi,
Is it too late to translate into a Papiamento version? Do I have to
get an
OK for localisation first to do this?
If I understand you correctly (from your introduction on the
documentation list) you want to localize OpenOffice.org to Papiamento.
So for now there is no reason to translate this update page to
Papiamento, because nobody is using OpenOffice.org in the Papiamento
language yet.
Arthur:
Do not discourage. Please ask that the page be readied for a future
release. This way OpenOffice.org will not have to search for a
translator for this language's web page.
I am very sorry if you feel that I am discouraging Peter and / or his
plans to start a localization effort to Papiamento. But I don't think it
makes sense to start with translating an update page? By the time the
first people start to use the Papiamento version of OOo this page
probably has changed already a few times.
BTW, is there efforts to create a translation for this language?
Please reread my first post (or see above). Peter is in the process of
starting this effort.
