I guess that slightly misses the point, as I believe Jussi also
proposes getting rid of the build.pl/dmake marriage, plus much of
the hard-coded, non-declarative stuff in the makefiles. I'm overall

and largely inefficient (I have a good recollection of Kai's jam

Whether cmake is the best possible choice I don't know, though (but

not discourage him).
Now that sounds much better. I was a bit under the impression this was
just about moving to cmake because its new and shiny - and I remember
the pains caused by the move to svn, which in itself was simple, but
created a huge bow wave through infrastructure and whatnot.
